Built in 1981 and opened in 1984, this station was intended for expanding the fire service response to the southern side of Rawlins and the Wyoming State Penitentiary. This station is home to one our first engines, our first out ladder truck, Command Trailer and Fire Safety House. This station supplies an office, sleeping quarters, training center, and our state-of-the-art training grounds. Station two is also manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week by the paid staff of the Rawlins Fire Department.
